My name is Valeriano Melendez IV, and I’ve always believed that fashion is more than clothing—it’s a form of expression, an art, and a lifestyle. Born in the Bronx, New York, and raised in North Carolina, I’ve carried with me a lifelong passion for style and creativity. Even after leaving the fashion capital of New York, my love for experimenting with colors, fabrics, and designs has never faded.

In 2021, I transformed that passion into reality by founding Fear Don’t Exist (FDE) Clothing, a luxury fashion line created for everyone who chooses to live boldly. For me, fashion draws inspiration from art, music, nature, and the rich diversity of cultures around the world.

The idea behind FDE was born from my observation that fear often holds people back—from trying new things, pursuing their dreams, or stepping outside their comfort zones. Fear can become a barrier that traps us in complacency. I wanted to challenge that mindset and build a brand that empowers individuals to live fearlessly and authentically.

At the heart of FDE is our iconic logo: a half-faced lion and gorilla.
